Following a video showcasing the rapper’s hourglass figure, which prompted some online accusations of plastic surgery, Cardi B put the rumors to rest by posting a photo and video of herself in form-fitting dresses on X on Saturday (Oct. 5). She stated, “Y’all need to relax. “This is what my body looks like.”

“My body appeared exaggerated in the other video because I was wearing a 5X fajita,” the “WAP” artist explained, referring to her shapewear. “I want you all to think logically. Just a few days ago, you were praising my body… do you believe I got surgery in just two days? 😫😂”
Cardi’s post was a direct response to a tweet from one individual who expressed frustration, saying, “The fact that Cardi B altered her body is upsetting! 😔😒 Ladies, you need to start loving yourselves!”
Around the same time, a clip from the Grammy winner’s Instagram Story began circulating on X. In the video, Cardi captured her reflection in the mirror, highlighting her slim waist and curvy hips, while expressing her frustration about the difficulty of losing weight in her face.
Shortly after revealing that she’d been wearing hip enhancements in the video, the Whipshots founder also retweeted a fan’s post that noted, “You can’t get surgery unless the child you had 6 months and up anyway.”
Cardi, who gave birth to her third child with estranged husband Offset in September, responded with a simple, “THANK YOU.”
The “Up” artist has been candid about her past cosmetic procedures, even postponing performances in 2019 to recover from surgery. In 2023, she responded to a critic who suggested she was dishonest about her workout regimen, stating, “How open have I been about my procedures??? … there’s this thing called visceral fat… It’s fat that develops beneath the muscle, and you can’t liposuction it. The only solution is to exercise!”
Cardi is the mother of 6-year-old daughter Kulture and 3-year-old son Wave. She announced her pregnancy with Baby No. 3 on August 1, coinciding with Billboard’s confirmation of her divorce filing from the Migos rapper.
