A woman from Blaine has admitted guilt in the sexual assault of two 15-year-old hockey players from Colorado at a hotel in Roseville.

Allison Schardin, 39, entered a guilty plea on Friday to a 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct charge, with a fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct dropped as part of the plea deal.

As stated in the criminal complaint, Schardin encountered the victims in a hotel room in Roseville on January 14. The two boys were members of a hockey team visiting from Colorado, and Schardin met them in the hotel’s hot tub, where she shared details about her marital issues.

The charges indicate that later that evening, she messaged one of the boys on Snapchat, inviting him to her room. Once there, Schardin posed sexual questions to the two boys and inquired about their ages, commenting that they were “young enough to be her children,” as stated in the complaint.

Schardin then allegedly had sexual contact with the two boys, with one victim stating she had been “insistent” on having sex.

She texted one of the victims the next day and asked where they were playing hockey before showing up to the rink a short time later. The boys all became nervous at her attempts to follow them, with one victim saying: “It was really creepy.”

After the team returned to Colorado, Schardin continued to message the two victims, urging one of them not to reach out to the police.

The authorities were eventually informed of the incident on January 22. and Schardin was arrested on Feb. 1, telling police that she had gone to the hotel for a “stay‐cation” with her family.

Her next court appearance will be on Jan. 10 at 9 a.m.
