Nigeria Minimum Wage 2024. Here’s a comprehensive guide on Nigeria’s Minimum Wage: Here are some governors in Nigeria who are ready to pay above the N70,000 minimum wage.
What Is Nigeria Minimum Wage?
As of 2023, Nigeria’s minimum wage is set at 30,000 Naira per month, established by the National Minimum Wage Act of 2019. This wage aims to provide a basic standard of living for workers and is applicable to all sectors, although some states and industries may offer higher rates. The minimum wage has been a topic of debate, with calls for increases to match rising living costs and inflation. Compliance varies across states and employers, leading to discussions about enforcement and the need for periodic reviews to ensure it meets the economic realities faced by Nigerian workers.
